OUR COMPANY

The GlobalDerm Medical Ltd. was established by Dr. Lajos Kemény with the aim to utilize the UV-photospray technology. The company was founded with the support of the National Development Agency in DAOP-1.3.1-12-2012-0075 project ("The development of the innovative potential of the region by the foundation of innovative start-up companies") by 9 million Ft.

The company currently develops the UV-photospray, which has good light transmission, is not harmful to the skin, it is non-allergenic, has good cosmetic properties and is able to enhance the effectiveness of light therapy. The technology is embodied in an ointment that reduces the reflectance of skin, corrects the unevenness of the surface of skin, optically improves the light permeability of skin, moreover, it blocks the inflammatory effect of lights from certain frequencies. It filters out those ranges (short-wavelength UV-B ranges) which cause harmful side-effects, and are unnecessary in the light therapy. One of the most important features of UV-photospray (UV-photogel) is that it filters the short-wavelength (below 300 nm) UV rays causing inflammations, while it enhances the penetration of "useful" wavelength light waves ( 310-315 nm) into the skin by blocking the scattering and reflection of these rays on the skin. In the treatment of psoriasis and dermatitis the important and useful range of 310 - 315nm is in the range of UV-B.

The possibilities of application of the product for the treatment of psoriasis/dermatitis or for the protection of the skin are the followings:

     1. The enhancement of the efficiency of phototherapy at clinics and surgeries:

UV photospray enhances the absorption of the important 310nm light, it reduces light scattering and absorbs UV-B lights below 310 nm, therefore applying a thin layer of it on the skin before the treatment can increase the efficiency of the therapy.

     2. Light therapy cabinets, solarium, treatment at home:

The efficiency of the treatment can be enhanced by applying UV-photospray on the damaged skin and using a kind of sunscreen formulations (e.g.: suncreams) on the healthy skin.

     3. During sunbathing:

The efficiency of the treatment can be enhanced by applying UV-photospray on the damaged skin and using a kind of sunscreen formulations (e.g.: suncreams) on the healthy skin.
